Got it!

Three gruelling hours after finding a note in my mailbox saying that my parcel had been deposited with a neighbour, I finally was able to pick it up!
My meervilt! starters kit with felting wool, needles and a felting sponge!
First project - a bunneh!
Or an exclamation mark!

Or a trip to the ER if I manage to pierce my thumbnail with one of those needles.
Come to think of it, I've never been to an ER.
Guess it's one of those "things to do before you die". Literally, in most cases.

Another 2 hours have passed.
I have to say, there's something therapeutic about the sound the needles make when stabbing a bunneh...

Fighting with Bunny Bits

It was cold and windy today, so I decided to stay in and work on a softie.

Bunnies make the world go round

When I still worked in Ghent, I would walk past a patch of grass and some shrubs where a black bunny lived. I made a habit of greeting the bunny and would walk away from it softly singing to myself (and luckily no-one else), "Bunnies make the world go round, the world go round."

Then of course, there's my all time favourite episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Once More with Feeling, where Anya sings:

Bunnies aren't just cute like everybody supposes.
They got them hoppy legs and twitchy little noses.
And what's with all the carrots?
What do they need such good eyesight for anyway?
Bunnies. Bunnies. It must be bunnies!

Beware, you'll see more of this bunny as I'm taking it travelling today!

For the winter babies

Yesterday I sent off two baby presents, today I learned that they arrived.

I made the large bear using a little-known Thai pattern, published on Sayjay's blog, translated by Jaimai.

The other new baby already has a bigger sister, so I tried to make a little something for both. Did you notice the bracelets the bunnies are wearing?
